Frequently asked questions
How do I add this signature to Gmail?
Open Gmail, click the gear icon, then "See all settings". Scroll to the Signature section, create a new signature, then paste the copied HTML using Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on Mac). Gmail preserves the HTML formatting automatically. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom.
How do I add this signature to Outlook?
In Outlook desktop: go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures. Create a new signature, then paste the copied HTML. In Outlook web: click the gear icon > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Compose and reply. Paste the HTML into the signature editor.
Why does my signature look different in some email clients?
Email clients have limited HTML/CSS support compared to web browsers. This generator uses only inline styles and table-based layouts, which are the most compatible approach. However, some older email clients may still render fonts or spacing slightly differently. The core layout and content will remain intact across all major clients.
Can I use my own photo in the signature?
Yes. Enter the URL of a photo hosted online (e.g., on your company website, LinkedIn, or an image hosting service). The photo should be a direct image URL ending in .jpg, .png, or similar. Avoid using URLs from Google Drive or Dropbox as these may not display correctly in email clients.
Why use HTML tables instead of modern CSS?
Email clients do not support modern CSS layout features like flexbox or grid. HTML tables with inline styles are the only reliable way to create consistent layouts across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, and other email clients. This is the industry standard for email HTML.
